Stunning views from below! Spanning over 3 miles in length, this bridge replaced the Tappan Zee Bridge, which is a major thoroughfare and the only bridge that connects Rockland and Westchester County.
In service from 1883-1961, this historical landmark served to warn ships of nearby shoals. Since construction of the nearby Tappan Zee Bridge in 1955, ships used markings on the bridge to navigate the channel and the lighthouse was no longer needed.
Constructed in 1924, this bridge held the record for longest suspension bridge in the world, connecting the Palisades Parkway and NY Route 9D, as well as a section of the Appalacian trail.
The United Stated Military Academy is a national historical landmark that was founded in 1802 on the site of Fort Clinton which served as a defense for the Continental Army and helped guard against enemy ships sailing up the Hudson river during the American Revolutionary War.
Perhaps one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Instead of cramming yourself onto an overcrowded ferry and seeing the tops of the buildings over everyone else's head, treat yourself and a handful of your closest friends to view the city from a perspective that only very few have access to. Feel more like you're on a boat in the river and less like you're packed on an NYC subway car during rush hour.
This one falls right in line with the New York City Skyline. Gifted to the United States by France in 1885, this famous statue served as a monument to represent Liberty, Democracy, Freedom from Tyranny and Abolishment of Slavery for all and was positioned in such a location that it would be the first thing that people would see when migrating to the USA from overseas.
